Mipmap Quality for Advanced Movie Node
September/19 2011Since Ventuz 3.04 the new Advanced Movie Clip Node is available. Beside the utilization of FFmpeg it also provides the ability to auto generate mipmap textures for the video. If you use that feature and scale down the image size, you’ll face very blurry un-sharpen results…
Try to enable the anisotropic filtering at the texure node (advanced properties) and your video clips are played back in razor sharp quality!

Btw, the Web Browser Node (32bit only) also provides auto generated mipmaps. The use of anisotropic filtering gains rendering quality as well!

AMD Joins Forces With Broadcast Technology Leaders to Overhaul Real-Time Video
September/9 2011AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS — – (Marketwire) — 09/09/11 — At IBC 2011, AMD (NYSE: AMD) unveiled AMD FirePro(TM) SDI-Link to address the market for real-time, GPU-accelerated post production and broadcast pipelines requiring Serial Digital Interface (SDI) input and output. By leveraging the combined decades of SDI-related experience from AMD’s technology collaborators, along with the new AMD DirectGMA technology that allows SDI I/O products and select professional graphics cards such as the new AMD FirePro(TM) V7900 SDI to communicate directly over PCI Express(R) (PCIe), customers can build solutions for virtual sets, professional video production/post-production, on-air motion graphics, on-set 3D VFX, and other scenarios. All of this can be accomplished with ease via APIs exposed in the AMD FirePro SDI-Link software developer kit, allowing the delivery of new capabilities and feature sets with never-before-seen flexibility and cost-effectiveness.

stereolize wins two red dot awards

The red dot award is one of the most renowned design awards worldwide and winning one is an accolade for any design company. So we are immensely proud to be able to say that or customer stereolize won two red dot awards this year.
In the category Event Design they received the award for their efforts on the press launch of the Porsche Panamera S Hybrid in Berchtesgaden.
In the category Interface Design they were awarded the red dot design award for the huge touchscreen and the respective presentations for Microsoft at the CeBIT 2011.
